Via Blanchis, 70

34070 Mossa (GO)

The Azienda Agricola Ronco Blanchis is located in the small rural village of Mossa, on the sunny slopes of Colle Blanchis in Friuli Venezia Giulia. The soils of this area known for the quality of its white wines once belonging to noble Austrian and Spanish households, but  in 2011 Giancarlo Palla and his sons Alberto and Lorenzo continue to turn the quality of these grapes into bottles of unmatchable merit.

Ronco Blanchis (from the Friulan “fianco, or side of a hill”, “Blanchis”, white, like the colour of wine, vocation of these lands) grows grapes in order to produce Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Friulano and Pinot Grigio.

The farm produces wines D.O.C.:

Collio Sauvignon

Collio Pinot Grigio

Collio Ribolla

Collio Friulano

Blanc Blanchis

The decision to restrict production to a few wines is dictated by the desire to produce high quality products that could be the  expression of the local variety.

The technique implemented by Ronco Blanchis is defined in "reduction", that limiting the contact between the grapes, must, wine and oxygen.

For this reason, the grapes are not crushed and de-stemmed but are sent directly to the press and the must obtained is fermented in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures, limiting the contact with the air.

This technique allows to preserve all the flavors from the grapes to the wine in the bottle.
