Pinot Grigio is recognized in the world as the most classic Italian grape and finds its best success in the Collio, where it is expressed in an exemplary way. We cultivate it in the hill of Blanchis, which over the years, has always shown an incredible production regularity, making it clear that it is a true wine of the region. Its delicate notes of pear and flint make it a perfectly balanced wine. This vintage also presents a fascinating color that slightly leans towards rosé. In the mouth, it is full and round but with a fresh and inviting finish.

Created in the ‘30s by Professor Luigi Manzoni of the Technical Agrarian Institute of Conegliano this vine cross between a Pinot Blanc and a Riesling produces a fantastic grape variety, with a low yield and a tough skin. As a result of the slight maceration process it is intense yellow in colour with a pleasing bouquet reminiscent of yellow flowers and fruit. It has a long-lasting aftertaste and a great acidic and glyceric structure.

This white wine represents the essence of Collio and of the Blanchis hill: it is a blend of our original Friulano, a very elegant Chardonnay, a touch of Malvasia and a fragrant Sauvignon. Tocai Friulano is harvested when it begins to come attacked by the noble mold (botrytis cinerea) which creates a complexity hardly repeatable in other areas. The Chardonnay, characterized by calcareous soils, is vinified in new wood and gives a touch of extraordinary elegance. Then the notes of Malvasia and Sauvignon complete the cut with fresh and fascinating notes, typical of our area.

Malvasia Istriana is a typical vine of the Friulian hills, grown in the white lands of the Collio, where it occurs with a beautiful note of fresh herbs. It has nothing to do with aromatic Malvasia, typical of other areas. Infact, thanks to natural characteristics of calcareous soils of this area, the Malvasia reaches great ripeness and it manages to maintain an extraordinary freshness.

It is a blend made up of our original Friulano, an incredibly elegant Chardonnay, a touch of Malvasia and a fragrant Sauvignon. The Tocai Friulano is harvested when starting to be attacked by noble rot (botrytis cinerea) which creates a complexity hard to find in other production areas. Instead the Chardonnay, which is planted on the top of the Blanchis hill where the terrain is rich in limestone, is vinified in new oak barriques and gives the wine an incredible elegance.
